Wedding Ceremony by the Shore

The space just out front of Matilda Bay Restaurant is the perfect location for a ceremony. The sunsets behind the trees, so it’s often perfectly shaded in the afternoon and provides a perfect view of the bay. This space isn’t part of Matilda Bay restaurant and needs to be booked separately for a small fee via the local council. 

Reception Rooms
The Roe Room and The Catalina Room at Matilda Bay Restaurant cater to weddings of all sizes and styles. The Roe Room's dedicated kitchen ensures that your guests enjoy sensational dining, all while soaking in the views from this elevated space. It's perfect for larger, more formal gatherings of up to 140 guests. On the other hand, The Catalina Room offers a more intimate setting with its seamless indoor/outdoor flow, ideal for smaller weddings that wish to embrace the natural surroundings, perfect for around 40 guests.

As a photographer, Matilda Bay is a dream location. A variety of backdrops provides options for couples to have their portraits captured to suit their style. The river foreshore is just stunning right on sunset, Whilst UWA and the surrounding parklands are great a little earlier in the day. All are easily accessible from Matilda Bay Restaurant.
